- GPS location — collected when you submit a road hazard report
- Photos — only if you choose to attach them to a report
- Username — chosen by you, displayed publicly on reports and leaderboard
- Device ID — used by Firebase for authentication and security
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To place your reports on the map
- To calculate points, badges, and leaderboard rankings
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following third party services:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and file storage
- Google Maps — map display and navigation
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Reports remain on the map for community benefit. You may request deletion at any time.
5. How to Delete Your Account
Email us at support@thecrater.report with your registered email address. All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
6. Children’s Privacy
This app is not intended for users under 13 years of age.
